So we have been working on teaching Claire a few basic sign language words, such as "please","thank you", "all done", etc. These basics always seem to help bridge the gap between the screaming to communicate stage and talking. Anyway, she hasn't been very enthused.
A few weeks ago, however, we were outside eating dinner. When Courtney started dishing up ice cream cones the girls started laughing. We turned around to see Claire pounding on her chest with both hands- the sign for "please". So funny! And as you can see, she definitely enjoyed her reward!
