It's tough being a big sister!

Emmy doesn't know quite what to do with herself now that Ryenne and Kate are in school. She's become my little shadow! I realize that she's never had much opportunity to play by herself, because she's always been the little sister. Now that they're gone, (Claire doesn't yet offer very much in the way of a play mate) she's a little lonely! She can't wait until the girls get home from school, and then has a hard time being patient while they do reading, homework, practicing, etc. This morning I dropped the girls off from school. As we were turning the corner to go home, Emmy told me, "Mom, I think it's time for them to come home now."

The other day I was doing Emmy's hair when she nonchalantly mentioned that Jesus had visited her in her dream the previous night. This, of course piqued my curiosity, and I asked her why he came. She told me in a matter of fact voice, "He says tomatoes are bad for you. And I think he'll come to tell you that too." I called Courtney at work to tell him the good news. He hates tomatoes, and has convinced the girls that they taste like dirt, no matter how much I try to teach them otherwise. I figured they'd all be rejoice at Emmy's revelation. However, later that day when I told Emmy to tell Grandma C about her dream, she whispered in my ear, "It didn't really happen".
I guess I'll keep working at my tomato campaign.
